Since the fire at the Melbourne factory, a lot of work has been done by the company to clean up and re-establish water production in Buildings 2 and 3, which were not damaged in the fire. Eneco has Industrial Special Risk insurance for its contents and business interruption losses and Public Liability insurance for third party claims outside our premises. The Board considers that these insurance policies will cover the relevant claims. The Company is closely working with insurers to settle the matter as quickly as possible. Melbourne Water and EPA Victoria directed Refresh Plastics Pty Ltd to take immediate steps to clean up the areas surrounding the factory and restore them to their original state, which necessitated the urgent appointment of a cleaning contractor to avoid possible penalties and/or contamination in the area. There remain some additional repairs to be conducted on neighbouring sites, such as replacement of broken and damaged windows, but these works are not material. | 03/03/2023 |
